Tel Aviv Cinematheque

Tel Aviv Cinematheque (also called: Doron Cinema center) is a Cinematheque and Movie Archive, which works in Tel Aviv from May 12, 1973.

The Cinematheque is located on building Sprinzak 2 st., corner of Ha'arba'a 4 st. and Carlebach st. with two Cinema halls screening: Stan Kamen, however, where 377 seats, but Goldie Hawn in which 131 places. Thai also has a viewing for watching movies from the archives of the Cinematheque's rich films. The Cinematheque is screening of films, Israeli and foreign, business cinemas screening due to avoid economic and other considerations (such as the film "Paradise Now"), as well as films from the collection Cinematheque. Sometimes screenings are being held for the next Israeli films find their way to the cinema or TV business. Cinematheque Film festivals are held, such as a "festival Doc Aviv" Documentary Film Festival, "Moments of French Cinema", an Australian Film Festival and more.

Cinematheque building was designed by Israeli Architect Slough Harshman, and was inaugurated in 1989.

Israeli Cinema center

in September 2011 opened adjacent to the existing building of Cinematheque the Israel Cinema Center. This wing is triple the size of the existing Cinematheque space, will contain three new theaters, offices, library and restaurant. Like the original wing, this wing also was designed by architect Slough Harshman.
